"V" is for Video Games

I love video games. Love them. However, I wouldn't call myself a gamer. Mainly because I never play.

I hear the hookers fight back in this one.
I made my own video games when I was in high school and always have the latest gaming console. I own dozens of games, but never play them. I just don't have the time. I even have the newest Grand Theft Auto on reserve for as soon as it is released.

Every now and then, I buy a new game while thinking about how much fun it will be. Half the time, it never even gets put in the system. When I actually do play a game, I will play for 2 or 3 days straight and then not play another game for months.

I must not love video games as much as I thought or I would be making time for them.

Happily participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. For the entire month of April, close to 1,000 bloggers are working their way through the alphabet. One letter every day but Sundays for a total of 26 days.

  1. Maybe it's just a side effect of being an adult that you lose the ability to play video games for long periods of time. I used to be a champ at it, and I still love it, but my kids run circles around me with their video game endurance.

    1. I believe that is it. I just don't have time any more. I have too many other pressing things. If I do sit down to play, I end up feeling guilty for wasting time.

  2. I know basically nothing about video games and I never play them, which is probably one of the reasons I know almost nothing about them. Making video games, though? That's crazy.

    1. I have a lot of friends who play. I have never played that game. I would probably like it too much and get fired.

  4. I don't like video games at all but I am amazed by people who can create them. You must have a remarkable talent and maybe creating games is more fun for you rather than playing them. Just chiming in from the A-Z Challenge. Happy blogging!

    1. I would love to see how it is done today. It was much simpler then.

  5. I am a video game fan but only with certain ones. My son and I are on year 2 of the Lego Harry Potter game on our Wii. I do like Wii Party as well. I go through phases of gaming and not touching it at all.

  7. Well, I used to play video games all the time, but then one day I just quit and that was the end of that. You love them, but you also said you don't have the time.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

  9. I love me some video games... But when I get addicted, watch out! Lest we forget the Left for Dead Fiasco of 2010.

    Hugs!
