Featured Writer post at STUDIO30PLUS

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed a storm of angry tweets about United Airlines last weekend. I attended a wedding in New Hampshire, but was late getting to the rehearsal because of the stupidity and unnecessary rudeness of their employees.

For the full story of what happened you will have to read my post at Studio30Plus. I am the Featured Writer there today and my post detailing the nightmare of trying to get to New Hampshire can be read by following this link:

Tonight or tomorrow, I will post about the rest of the weekend. The weekend was great. It was just the trip getting there that made me madder than a flasher at a nudist colony.

    1. Rough trip but glad you guys made it in time! I don't know about domestic flights in the States - but the airlines I've travelled on usually close their gates a half hour before take-off.

My last trip was similar to yours and I freaked out. I took down all the nasty employees' names and sent in a formal complaint. They called me up to apologize and offer me free miles - but I told them there was no point because I would never fly with them again lol... I was pretty mad.

    2. They told us we had to be 15 minutes early to get on the flight. It was a mess.

  3. I read it, but can't comment there, because I'm not a member. Hilarious take on that morning. And after reading some of the comments over there, I feel I should express that not all airlines are like that!

I wonder if United, being this heavyweight in the world of air travel just feels like we owe them something: "bow to me, lick my feet, and maybe I will grace you with a boarding pass."

    1. They acted that way.

I did learn a few things for my trip next week. I will be printing out the boarding pass at the terminal even if I already have one.

  4. Oh gosh, that sounds horrible. I've had my own drama with airplanes, trying to go visit people. I've been on like 5/7 (I missed a flight or it would be eight) broken planes. The people who heard my mom talking when she dropped me off at the airports freaked out and chose the farthest possible seats from me if they could. And that's not even the beginning of it.

    1. I have flown many, many times and have never experienced this kind of rudeness. Things go wrong sometimes. I can understand that, but the way they treated us was unforgivable.

  6. I've flashed at nudist colonies and I wasn't mad at all. I still get Christmas cards from several of the nudists.

    1. I've never been to one, so I may have assumed too much.

  8. Huh, I've never flown United. From the sounds of it, I never will. I've already boycotted American for their awful service and perpetually delayed flights, guess I'll add United to the 'no fly' list.

Sounds like your trip went well after you escaped the airport!

    1. Hopefully, it was just a bad day for the airline, but I experienced that bad service in two different airports. Since my entire trip is with United next week, I will be watching to see how we are treated.

  9. I dunno. American vs. United. It's like Lucifer vs. Beezlebub.
